Those that shop in our store may know that I (Darlene) was the primary caregiver for my mother over the past two years. Mom passed away in October, 2018, and we are heartbroken. My dad died many years ago, so this was especially painful since we have a very small family. Since the start of the new year, I have been able to assemble a small team to go to Haiti and to begin...
We are delighted to be hosting Megan Downey on Saturday morning, February 2nd at 10:00 a.m. to hear (and see pictures) about her mission experiences in Guatemala. Megan is a special education teacher, member of Manassas Baptist Church, and a local resident. She will be spending 7-weeks in Guatemala this summer helping to receive and work with mission teams. Aprons from Ghana are made using a technique called, Batik, a beautiful hand-dying technique, which is almost a lost-art here in America.
